VARJOTTARET in English

The core of Varjottaret (roughly translated as Shadow ladies) consists of vocalists Mirva, while Ilmari plays the piano and electronic devices. The music explores the fringes of Finnish indie pop and electro-acoustic music with piano, electronics and occasional frame drums.

The songs are stories of life's beauty and also darkness. You can hear echoes ringing on the top of an iceberg or feel like standing in a deep dark forest. Beautiful sounds and music make you feel joy, happiness, hope, maybe sadness.
